This Privacy Policy explains what information BigDealz collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using BigDealz, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information: when you register, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google). Content you provide: saved deals, price alert preferences, uploaded videos, comments, messages to creators, and support inquiries. Usage data: pages viewed, searches performed, deals clicked, session duration, and similar interactions, collected to personalize your feed and improve the service. Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and similar diagnostic information collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to operate your account, save and sync your deals and preferences across devices, send price-drop alerts and account-related emails you've opted into, personalize deal recommendations, moderate creator video submissions, respond to support requests, and maintain the security and reliability of the platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
On the web, essential cookies and local storage support sign-in, security and preferences such as language, saved choices and dismissed notices. We also collect usage analytics and interaction signals, such as pages and deals viewed, searches, clicks to retailers, time spent on deal cards and videos, and session activity. These signals help us understand service usage, measure performance and tailor recommendations; where associated with an account or device, they may be personal information. Base44 provides the app's hosting and analytics infrastructure and processes these data for the service. If you follow an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon can receive referral information and collect information on its own site under its own privacy policy; we may earn a commission. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies and site storage in your browser, although doing so may sign you out or reset preferences. You can review your account data, request access or correction, and contact us about privacy choices using the contact details below. Similar usage signals may be collected in the mobile app even though it does not use browser cookies in the same way.
4. Sharing your information
We share information only where necessary to operate BigDealz: with our hosting and infrastructure provider (Base44) to run the app and store data securely, with email delivery providers to send account and price-alert emails, and with retailers such as Amazon when you click through an affiliate link — at that point, the retailer's own privacy policy applies to your interaction with them. We never share your saved deals, alerts, or personal details with other users or advertisers.
5. Data retention
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, saved deals, price alerts, videos, and messages are permanently removed, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal or security purposes.
6. Your rights and choices
You can review and update your profile at any time from your Account page. You can mute or delete price alerts and saved deals whenever you like. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Account → Delete account. To exercise any other privacy right (such as requesting a copy of your data), contact us using the details below.
7. Children's privacy
BigDealz is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
